The natural gas pipeline route involves the crossing of the national road no. 9, via Emilia, and its road connector by executing a microtunnel with tubular r.c. segments.
The r.c. pipeline has an internal diameter ID1600 mm for a total length of approximately 219 m; the microtunnel has a curvilinear route with a vertical radius of curve approximately 1.200 m, dug in predominantly sandy loam soils, in the presence of groundwater.
The works were successfully completed without slowing down road traffic and without any settlement.
