CSM
The Cutter Soil Mix method allows to execute consolidated soil panels with a variable thickness ranging from 40 cm to more than 1 m, and a depth of several tens of meters.
The cutter, consisting of two rotating wheels in a vertical plane, breaks up the soil, which is blended with the cement mixture continuously injected at low pressure.
The result is the creation of rectangular panels that, together and executed with the “fresh to fresh” method, form a continuous wall. The addition of bentonite to the soil treatment mixture allows the construction of plastic and waterproof structures. This solution is mainly used to confine landfills or polluted water.
This method has several advantages:
– no direct removal of soil. This is particularly advantageous when soil is polluted or when land-fills are far from the construction site;
– high productivity SM.
